Kenda and the PSGSA (Plant Science Graduate Students’ Association) will be hosting an event on Tuesday, January 23rd, 4-5 pm in Room 218 Plant Science building (poster attached). Attendees will enjoy free food and a presentation by Kenda’s founder, Laetitia Mukungu, an MSc. student here in UM’s Department of Plant Science.
All are welcome to attend! Please fill out the one-minute Google form to help us coordinate:

Laetitia founded Kenda alongside members of her community in Kenya in response to the growing inaccessibility of traditional Kenyan vegetable seeds. Kenda aims to build a community-operated seed bank, reintroducing the cultivation and celebration of African indigenous vegetables by supplying seeds to women farmer groups.

Good morning,
Just a reminder that registration is open for the 39th Annual PSGSS, which will be held on March 15 and 16, 2024 at the University of Saskatchewan! Registration is open for all plant science graduate students and is open until February 1, 2024. The link for registration can be found below, as well as other information regarding the symposium.
Students who'd like to present must submit abstracts to be scheduled to give a presentation. Abstract guidelines and submission links can be found under the "Abstracts and Presentations" section on the website linked below. Abstracts are due on February 16, 2024. Reminder that registration is still required to attend the symposium even if you're submitting an abstract.
The University of Saskatchewan had some issues on the back-end of our registration site this past week, so if you registered between January 8 and 11, you will have to register again as we did not receive your registration. You should receive a confirmation email if you successfully registered, so if you did NOT receive a confirmation email, please register again. I apologize for the inconvenience. I've attached the symposium website to the bottom of this email.
If you have submitted an abstract, please re-submit as we have not received any due to site errors as well.
