Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from Singapore is providing funding to allow students from around the world to spend two months at NTU this summer.
About the program –
Who: Bachelor’s / Master’s students that are scheduled to graduate in 2025
When: Mid-May to mid-July (the timeline is NOT flexible)
What: conducting research at NTU, Singapore
How: interested applicants should email Kennis.Fung(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:Kennis.Fung@umanitoba.ca> to express their interest before applying online via the NTU portal by selecting up to three research projects from a list – select different faculty members may increase your chance of success
Visa: scholarship recipients will be given documentation which allows them to enter Singapore, and they will need to work with NTU’s International Office after they arrive in Singapore. They do NOT need to travel to another city to obtain a visa before leaving Canada.
Express your interest deadline: eligible students must email Kennis.Fung(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:Kennis.Fung@umanitoba.ca> on/before February 22, 2024 if they have the support from a U of M faculty member. The faculty member that supports the student’s application should be cc-ed. No documentation is required at this point.
Application deadline: March 1, 2024 (all students need to apply via the NTU online portal directly)
Result: no later than the end of March
Value: SGD5000, health insurance, and on-site accommodations at NTU
Number of awards: up to 40 globally

Dear Learners,
Student Services at Bannatyne Campus (SSBC) has a free workshop opportunity for learners of Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and the Inner-City Social Work program.
Please see the attached poster for the upcoming Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Skills Workshop offered by Student Mental Health Services and SSBC. This workshop series offers learners an opportunity to learn skills for managing stress and maintaining self-care utilizing cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness strategies. The goal of the series is to build resilience and improve learners' capacity to manage stress in a healthy, adaptive way. This series will be facilitated by psychiatrist, Dr. Tanya Sala, and Justine Fredette.
The workshop will be delivered in-person at the Bannatyne Campus every Tuesday for eight weeks from February 27, 2024 to Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 4:30 - 6:00 pm (90 minutes).
