Fundraising Committee Zoom Meeting
Hi everyone.
You will have received a message from the general WGSCC listserv putting off a meeting until July. In the meantime, I would like the Fundraising Committee (which I assume is me, Jim M., Rhonda, Krishna and Paul Jenkins; I'm not sure if Jeff is on this listserv (how do you find out who is? I hope this is going to everyone I think it is) so I've cc'd him.
The purpose is to bring everybody up to speed on MFL and U of M roles in finding the conference and see what needs to be done in that respect, as well as to think about other sources of funding that we haven't tapped. In particular, as well, perhaps we can think about other kinds of sponsorships for big ticket items like Bragg and the keynote speakers. And there are other smaller things that we can think about: ads in the program (we've already had a request from BTL), etc.
Also, we don't really have an executive or agenda committee for what is a fairly large committee, so I wouldn't mind hijacking this group a bit just to make sure that things are not falling through the cracks, and that we can plan for a fruitful meeting in July.
I hope this all makes sense. I'd like to have this Zoom meeting in the next week to 10 days. My schedule is relatively open so I'll leave it up to others to say when they may or may not be free during this time period. Let me know.
Thanks, Jim

I should be able to do this, too. The tories are dropping the St. Boniface by-election writ tomorrow afternoon, so I'm going to be busy the next week, but I will confirm Thursday by Wednesday eve.
Also, I will amend the website this week and move on the keynotes, too.

And there are other smaller things that we can think about: ads in the program (we’ve already had a request from BTL), etc.
Also, we don’t really have an executive or agenda committee for what is a fairly large committee, so I wouldn’t mind hijacking this group a bit just to make sure that things are not falling through the cracks, and that we can plan for a fruitful meeting in July.
I hope this all makes sense. I’d like to have this Zoom meeting in the next week to 10 days. My schedule is relatively open so I’ll leave it up to others to say when they may or may not be free during this time period. Let me know.
Thanks, Jim

Hi everyone.
You will have received a message from the general WGSCC listserv putting off a meeting until July. In the meantime, I would like the Fundraising Committee (which I assume is me, Jim M., Rhonda, Krishna and Paul Jenkins; I’m not sure if Jeff is on this listserv (how do you find out who is? I hope this is going to everyone I think it is) so I’ve cc’d him.
The purpose is to bring everybody up to speed on MFL and U of M roles in finding the conference and see what needs to be done in that respect, as well as to think about other sources of funding that we haven’t tapped. In particular, as well, perhaps we can think about other kinds of sponsorships for big ticket items like Bragg and the keynote speakers. And there are other smaller things that we can think about: ads in the program (we’ve already had a request from BTL), etc.

My apologies, friends!
I was hoping to attend this afternoon's meeting, but it's definitely now impossible, sorry.
Please assign tasks re: fundraising bits to me in my absence. Note, too, that I will update the website as advised by Jim N., and will recommence securing keynote speaker options over the weekend in respect of Jane McAlevey and Saru Jayaraman. I will cc you all in respect of this.
All my best!

Hi Everyone,

How is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday next week? (I’m not available Thursday or Friday). Let me know any time when you are not available.
Sorry about that.
Best, Jim N.
As long as it is after 10:30 am I will make Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday work.
