Hi everyone, The Aurora/Banner issue was resolved yesterday afternoon, and our monitoring indicates no further issues persist related to this. We will be communicating with all students who had registration time tickets on July 7, 8, or 9, advising them to check their registration to ensure it is accurate. The message content will read as follows:
You are receiving this message because you had an initial registration time ticket between July 7th and July 9th.
An issue with the Aurora Registration system during these dates resulted in a period where some students were unable to complete registration. In some cases, students were dropped from a course because of a time conflict but may not have received notification. This issue has been resolved, but there is action you need to take now.
ACTION REQUIRED: you are encouraged to log in to Aurorahttps://aurora.umanitoba.ca/ and review your registration to ensure it is accurate, and that you see all the expected courses. If it is not, please make changes as required by adding or dropping courses. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you tried to register in a course that spans two terms, and you only see one of the two sections (for example, you see the course in Fall, but not Winter), please call the Registrar's Office, rather than trying to drop it and add it again. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar's Office at 204-474-9420 or 1-877-474-9420 (toll free).
Thank you for help and take care, Elfie

You may be receiving reports from students who are having difficulty registering in classes, and some staff are reporting difficulties using Banner. Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday July 8th), Aurora/Banner experienced a system issue that resulted in errors in registration and the system became inaccessible for a period of time.
Our IST team and ORES monitored the situation last night and believed it had been resolved. Unfortunately, issues continue to persist this morning.
These issues are the top priority for everyone supporting Aurora and Banner, so we hope to have a resolution as soon as possible.
If you are receiving questions from students, please let them know we are experiencing a system issue and working to resolve it.
