Hello University of Manitoba Advising Exchange,

As a brief introduction, we are members of the UM Advisor Exchange Professional Development Community of Practice (CoP). Our role, within the CoP, is to explore and create opportunities for advisors (and those who work in similar roles), to increase competencies while learning practical strategies that we can implement to better support our diverse student population.

For the next virtual meeting on April 29 at 9:00 am, we have reached out to Student Accessibility Services to be our first speaker in what we hope will be a bimonthly Advising Training and Development Speaker Series with various speakers from the campus community.

As part of planning towards this meeting, we are contacting you, the Advising Exchange, to request your input on what you would like to learn at this session, as well as further information on what the advising community would like to learn about through invited speakers to our meetings.
