Message from Laurie Schnarr, Vice-Provost (Students)
Dear Students,
As we approach the end of Winter Term and prepare for exams, I'm checking in with you one last time to see how you're doing and to remind you of the academic resources and supports that are available to you. I also want to echo President Benarroch's message to you earlier this week and acknowledge the tenacity and adaptability that brought you to this point in your studies. As he said, "you are living through an historic period, one that has changed our global society in ways we don't fully know yet". May this motivate you to achieve your highest potential and, ultimately, to apply all that you are learning beyond our campus borders - in our communities, businesses, labs, clinics, and concert halls. Indeed, each of you has the potential to contribute to lasting, positive change.

Register for Summer Term
We are excited to welcome you back for fully in-person course delivery for Summer Term 2022.
Registration for Summer Term is now open. If you wish to register, registration access times for students at the Bannatyne and Fort Garry campuses are available in your Aurora account.
To view your registration time:
1. Log into Aurora. 2. Select 'Enrolment and Academic Records.' 3. Select 'Registration & Exams.' 4. Select 'Registration Time and Status.' Choose the academic term from the dropdown menu - your registration access time for the selected term will be displayed.

Although primarily designed for students who are beginning their studies at UM, it also contains useful information for current students registering in the Summer Term for the first time.

Celebrate at Spring Convocation
We are pleased to announce that this spring our Convocation ceremonies will be held in person. Convocation will also offer a virtual experience for those who aren't able to attend in person or don't feel ready to attend a large in-person gathering.
Convocation ceremonies for February and Spring Graduates from the Fort Garry campus will be held from June 7- 10, 2022.
Separate ceremonies will be held for graduating students from the Bannatyne campus (May 19, 2022), Extended Education (June 9, evening) and Université de Saint-Boniface (June 13, 2022).

Graduation Pow Wow
Join the Indigenous Student Centre for UM's Annual Traditional Graduation Pow Wowhttps://news.umanitoba.ca/annual-traditional-graduation-pow-wow-returns/ on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Everyone is welcome. All Canadian Indigenous graduates (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) are encouraged to register so they can be honoured at the celebration. Explore Post-Graduation Work Permit Information for international students
The International Centre is organizing an information session for international students about the Post-Graduation Work Permit on May 6 at 10 a.m. At this session, you will learn about eligibility requirements and program criteria, including how to apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), required documents, creating an online MyCIC account, and potential benefits of obtaining Canadian work experience as the holder of a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
