Message to All University of Manitoba Students
You may have heard some confusing media reports this past weekend regarding the bargaining process with the University of Manitoba’s faculty association (UMFA). Please note that no strike deadline has been set by UMFA and all classes and other campus activities are proceeding normally and as planned. We understand that many of you are concerned about the impact a labour disruption may have on your studies. With the assistance of a conciliator, the University of Manitoba administration is working with UMFA to reach a settlement and to avoid a disruption to the academic term. We are committed to keeping you informed while respecting the conciliation process. We will communicate any further updates to you by email.
