Dear students,
Manitoba Public Health has advised the University of Manitoba of a potential measles exposure involving a person who was on the Fort Garry campus during their infectious period.
Exposure location and date:
Education building – February 24, 2026
Health officials have indicated this is an exposure event, not an outbreak.
If you were in this location on the listed date, please follow the guidance provided by Manitoba Public Healthhttps://www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/diseases/measles-exposures.html#exposed. Individuals who develop symptoms are advised to isolate at home and contact their healthcare provider.
