University of Manitoba Security Advisory
This message is sent on behalf of the President's Office to all students at the University of Manitoba
As you may have heard reported in the media, at the University of Winnipeg today a situation emerged involving a suspicious message written on a washroom wall. Winnipeg Police Service is investigating this incident.
According to the Winnipeg Police Service, the situation is isolated to the University of Winnipeg.
Although no connection has been made to the University of Manitoba, the University reminds its faculty, staff, and students to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious persons and/or criminal offences occurring on University of Manitoba property to Security Services at 474-9312. Patrol Officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and offer a variety of community services including Safewalk, Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training, Rape Aggression Defence (R.A.D.), and presentations regarding office and personal safety.
