[University of Manitoba Logo Header]
Dear UM Community,
As part of our commitment to a safe and supportive environment, and in compliance with government legislation, the University of Manitoba is reviewing its Sexual Violence Policyhttps://umanitoba.ca/governance/sites/governance/files/2022-10/Sexual%20Violence%20Policy%20-%202022_09_28.pdf to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community.
We warmly invite you to share your feedback, helping us identify areas for improvement and potential gaps in resources. Your input is invaluable in making our policy as effective and responsive as possible.
To promote inclusivity and accessibility, we will be collecting feedback through various forums. We encourage everyone in the UM community to provide their thoughts using this anonymous online formhttps://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=C92AT4wzTE6KFJBEaWL3uEM1M8bC68FPj-hXm_FvpNxUOVY4RVRZM1RYTVQ5N1BEOVhWSkZNT0E0MC4u by December 15, 2024. Ongoing support
Community input in policy review is crucial to ensure our policies meet the needs of the community we serve. We understand this work can be challenging. The University of Manitoba (UM) offers several supports, including the Sexual Violence Resource Centre (SVRC).
The SVRC provides a safe, confidential space for survivors and their supporters. It offers information, resources, and support with a trauma-informed and survivor-centered approach. These services are available to all UM faculty, staff, and students.
To contact the SVRC:
* Email: svrc@umanitoba.camailto:svrc@umanitoba.ca * Phone: 204-474-6562
Additionally, UM offers a broad range of Student Supportshttps://umanitoba.ca/student-supports and Community resources for faculty and staffhttps://www.umanitoba.ca/faculty-and-staff#community-resources.
Thank you for your participation and support.
