Apple thought that yesterday¹s update would fix things. It did for a while and then kernel panic set in again. This morning I was informed by Apple to reinstall Leopard and then download the update again. It has worked till now. I will keep you posted, if I may. Thanks for your help! Peter Markesteyn

Hi Peter,
There was a firmware update posted Nov 15 for iMacs. In that update a problem with the ATI Radeon HD 2600 is addressed that caused effected systems to freeze. I would check to see if that fix helps - or if its even needed for your system.

Since installing ³Leopard² my new Imac tells me to restart all the time!! I can no longer print anything nor open my address book without being told- with beautiful graphics - to restart. Restarting does not fix any of the problems however. Reminds me of my Microsoft days years ago. Any suggestions? Peter Markesteyn
