Google's recent claim of Microsoft and others ganging up on Android seems to have a little merit. The company with the biggest bullseye on it at the moment when it comes to "being sued" would appear to be Apple, according to Reuters graphic wizards.....

Steve Jobs has announced that he can no longer continue his duties as CEO and will resign effective immediately.

Wow.

Sad but not unexpected.
He has been on medical leave for a long time. I hope he just feels the need to slow down, and that this isn't a sign that the cancer is missing.
He was just appointed as chairman of the board, so that's a good sign... I think.

In typical Apple fashion only the bare facts are given. The Chairman position most likely means he will have a lot less to do and it will likely be Board level affairs. We'll have to wait and see how he holds up over the next few months.

Yes, very surprising. He is staying on as Chairman and Director of the Board, so it looks as though he'll still have his hand in things; just not the day to day operations.
Guess we'll see how this plays-out over the next few months.
