Projects and Funding Opportunities for Grad Students!

*Two great opportunities for funding ... Ready-made projects for graduate students!*

1. Research Opportunity: Rural and urban differences - the experiences of people with disabilities. <Poster_4-14.pdf> This request for proposals is to develop a national portrait of Canadian rural/urban differences of Canadians with disabilities, as no such portrait currently exists, using the PALS 2006 data. The RFP closes on August 3 2009.

* Research Opportunity: A disability-based pay gap analysis using the 2006 Participation and Activity Limitation Survey data. <Poster_4-15.pdf> This request is to develop a pay gap model, focuses on disability, which fully examines the impact of a wide variety of factors, including those typically associated with earnings/wage rates as well as a range of disability-specific characteristics, on earnings/wage rate disparities between working-aged people with and without disabilities. The RFP closes on July 27 2009.
