Too often we are confronted with situations where we are forced to sacrifice our health in order to keep our jobs. Whether it is working too-long hours, missing out on family time, or encountering harassment or physical hazards, men and women may face different health sacrifices and risks when it comes to work. Women, for example, tend to hide their health problems because they are often perceived as resulting from weakness or unfitness for work, while men may be more often placed in dangerous situations under the assumption that they can "take it". To contribute to health in the workplace, it becomes necessary to consider the biological and social differences between men and women.
