Happy Friday, I am reaching out to share a very exciting upcoming opportunity with you. Community Engaged Learning (CEL) is launching the 2025-26 Community Leadership Development Program and Grow Your Community Fundhttps://umanitoba.ca/student-supports/student-affairs/grow-your-community-fund. The Community Leadership Development Program (CLDP) supports marginalized, minoritized, and underrepresented students in taking on community leadership roles through experiential training and opportunities to engage, organize, and facilitate events for their communities. Grants ranging from $500 to $3000 will be awarded to successful applicant teams to fund their community building initiatives, and through participation in weekly evening training sessions the teams will receive mentorship and learn skills needed to successfully implement their events. Does this sound like something you're interested in? Great! There will be two application periods for the 2025-26 academic year: Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. Applications for the Summer 2025 intake open June 2 at 9:30 am and close June 22 at 11:59 pm. Weekly training sessions run from July 17 to August 21. Head to the Grow Your Community Fund websitehttps://umanitoba.ca/student-supports/student-affairs/grow-your-community-fund for more information on the eligibility criteria, the selection process, and how to apply or reach out to madison.reed@umanitoba.camailto:madison.reed@umanitoba.ca.
