Hello everyone,
This month’s Social Justice Hub drop-in will be hosted by the Anti-Xenophobia student group. Participants are invited to discuss the issues raised in The Revolution Will Not Be Funded, a book by 'INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence' about the impacts of the nonprofit sector on social justice movements. Register to receive an excerpt from the book to read in advance.

Folks who don't register in advance are also welcome to drop-in!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED: The Students co-hosting this month's event are curious as to whether there is appetite for a book club to read through and discuss this text further so if you can't attend but would be interested in that opportunity, please reach out to let us know!
Some discussion questions to consider ahead of time:
* How have you routed your community organizing through non-profits? * How do non-profits impact capacity for community work? * Are there benefits to community work happening in non-profits as opposed to grassroots people's organizations? * What do we stand to gain from organizing outside of the non-profit industrial complex?
Apologies for the late notice on this one but we hope with such a topical and important issue we'll see some of you there!
Take care, Mandalyn
