Sent on behalf of Mark Garrett
Good Morning,
I'd like to request for the below message to be sent to Nursing, PT, OT, RT learners and alumni. I'm looking to recruit 3 Standardized Healthcare Professionals to participate in our upcoming sitting of the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination, which will be held on behalf of the Medical Council of Canada. The role that these individuals will play in the examination is that of a Standardized Patient, they will be renumerated for their time.
Please forward the message below to all Nursing, PT, OT and RT learners and alumni. _________________
Good Morning,
We are recruiting a standardized health care professional (SHP) aged 20 - 35 to simulate a medical student for our upcoming sitting of the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination, which will be held on behalf of the Medical Council of Canada. The details follow below:
When: Sunday, September 21, 2025, 7:30 am (arrival) - 4:35 pm (anticipated departure)
Shift Requirements:
1. This is a highly confidential, sequestered event; once SHPs arrive, they are committed to remain on site with no contact beyond the environment of the exam.
2. We will provide two meals, a continental breakfast, and a catered lunch; beverages will be available throughout the day.
3. TRAINING: There will be a minimum of three (3) training shifts to prepare for this station: * one online course with two modules, ** Initial Training with all SP counterparts and their SP Trainer, and *** one Dry Run with all SP counterparts, their SP Trainer, and a licensed physician.
*Online Course - LearnUpon:
SHPs confirmed for this event agree to enrollment in, and completion of, an online course in two parts; in the first module, SPs will complete an Orientation provided by the Medical Council of Canada (MCC). Once that orientation is complete, the MCC will enroll participants in a second module that will provide their case information. Immediately following the event, all SHPs must complete the Attestation module in LearnUpon, without exception.
** Initial Training - SPs, their SP Trainer, and SP counterparts will negotiate the date and time of their Initial Training encounter. In this particular scenario, SHPs are allowed to keep their case information on a clipboard in the station, reducing the need for memorization.
*** The Dry Run for this station is scheduled to occur on Saturday, September 13, 2025, 3:45 PM - ideal participants will be available for this date at this time.
Simulation during the event, and training prior to the event are all paid shifts.
Please reply to this email confirming your interest by Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
