Hi, there! I'm reaching out today because November is Career Month! I wanted to share that Career Services has partnered with UMSU and the Alumni Association again this year to host a range of sessions. A full schedule of events, along with career articles and more, can be found on our UM Career Month website: https://www.umanitoba.ca/career-services/career-planning/career-month. Some events are in person at Ft. Garry, others are virtual. For each event attended, students can enter the Career Month $1000 tuition draw, courtesy of the UM Alumni Association. If you could please share information about Career Month with your colleagues/peers and students, or if you have space in your offices to include the poster or monitor ad (attached), we'd greatly appreciate it! Some key events to note are: * Career Month Kick-off: Mon, Nov 4 - Visit the Career Month booth hosted by Career Services * Fort Garry campus - 10 am to noon (1st floor UMSU University Centre) * Bannatyne campus - 11:30 am 1:00 pm (2nd floor Brodie Centre) * Volunteer Fair - Wed, Nov 6, 10am to 2pm (1st floor, UMSU University Centre) - In partnership with Volunteer Manitoba organizations such as HSC, Canadian Blood Services, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. UMSU will also have a booth to speak to their volunteer opportunities. * Arts Career Round Table event - Wed, Nov 20, 5 to 8pm (Marshall McLuhan Hall, 2nd floor UMSU University Centre) - The Faculty of Arts, Arts Student Body Council, and Career Services are co-hosting an evening of "Speed Networking" where Arts students can network and discuss career options with alumni working in a wide variety of professions, from social service to business to government. Regisration is required. * Mini Indigenous Career Fair - Wed, Nov 27, 1 to 3pm (Main floor, Migizi Agamik) - Employers attending include BMO, Richardson International, St. Amant and SEED Winnipeg. DH2 Student VPN Access Granted

Hello DH2 Students, You have been given VPN access & remote AxiUm access now. It is very important for you to try & login as soon as possible so if there are any issue we can assist you right away. Follow the instruction below to access the network: IST has provided the axiUm RDS Connection Instructions on how to connect to axiUm RDS. The attached RDS link (axiUm.rdp) will need to be copied and placed on the desktop of your personal computer. With your personal computer being outside the UofM network, a VPN connection will first need to be established on your personal computer in order to connect to axiUM RDS. The VPN installation instructions are in the following link: https://umanitoba.ca/computing/ist/connect/virtualpn.html If you are having issues, send an email to DENTIT (DentIT(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:DentIT@umanitoba.ca>). Hello Dental Hygiene Year 2 and 3 Students, Please find attached the PENDING FINAL 2024 FALL Examination schedules. The attached has been developed with input from Class Representatives and Course Coordinators. Please review the attached information and let me know of any individual concerns prior to Friday, October 25th, 2024. If no concerns are raised in regards to this schedule (prior to the deadline) I will notify, via e-mail, that the schedule has been confirmed and it will become FINAL. At that time I will finish adding it to UM Learn Calendars. Please be reminded that until this schedule has been finalized, you are expected to remain available until the end of the exam period (until 5 pm of the last date).
