Hello,
One of our IPE facilitators for Jan 24th, 2025 session just sent me a link to a piece written by a prosthodontist on their experience as a patient. She thought it aligned well with the Meteresky poem about person-centered care and the value of relationship-focused care/services.
If you have a chance, please read the short piece entitled "The Patient's Perspective" by Mark Lin, DDS: https://www.oralhealthgroup.com/features/the-patients-perspective/

I acknowledge that the University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. I respect the treaties made on these territories.I acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and present. With a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration, I move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities. In all my actions, I am grounded in salutogenesis and aim to contribute to health creation within places and settings where people live, learn, play, work, and love.
