Reminder: Monday Clinic with Partners & DH2 Observers
Hello DH3,
Just a quick reminder that your Clinic with Partners session is coming up on Monday. By now, you should have self-selected your partner for the day. One of you will take the role of clinician in the morning, and the other will be the clinician in the afternoon.
You will be moving through the full process of care, however, due to time constraints, you are not expected to complete each activity in full. Please review the expectations for this session in more detail on our HYGN 2312 UM Learn page, under the Orientation section.
Also, a reminder that the DH2 students will be observing the clinic session on Monday afternoon. This will be their first time in clinic, so will likely be a very exciting (and maybe a little overwhelming) experience for them.
As their peer mentors, we would like you to help set the tone for what a professional and efficient clinic session looks like. Specifically, we would like the DH2s to observe:
* How you set up your operatory * How you move between your assessment and the computer * How you interact with your patient
Much of the other clinical content will be beyond their learning level at this stage, but seeing the clinic in action will be a valuable first step in their journey.
Thank you for setting a great example and enjoy the session! Hopefully it will help to get you back in the swing of clinics and boost your confidence as you prepare for your upcoming direct patient care clinics that start on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you Monday.
