
Dear B.Ed & PBDE student, the beginning of the school year can be a stressful time with financial concerns the most stressful of all. Did you know the UM has means to help financially? All you have to do is apply. UM Bursaries applications are open. Complete your application (s) by Oct 1 to be eligible for many bursaries. Even better news is that there are more bursaries available to you through the Faculty of Education Supplemental Application. To qualify for the maximum amount of bursaries that you can, follow these steps:
1. Apply for the UM Bursary before OCTOBER 1. The application can be found on the Financial Aid & Awards page, under Bursaries. (www.umanitoba.ca/financial-aid-and-awards/bursaries.cahttp://www.umanitoba.ca/financial-aid-and-awards/bursaries.ca) Complete the Fall and Winter Term General Bursary application through your Aurora Student Portal.
2. Complete the Supplementary Application for Faculty of Education Bursaries form by October 1. Apply using your UM student email at: https://forms.office.com/r/C7XCczWXFP . This extra form allows you to qualify for more Bursaries from the Faculty of Education. Some information requested will be the same on each form, but you only need to complete each form once.
The information you provide will be used only for determining the B.Ed & PBDE bursary recipients.
