Good suggestion to zip and send as zip files.
There is no need for winzip. You can do the zipping in EpiData Entry (see tools menu)-create archive (sender) or restore archive (recipient). You can also use the chk file command "backup", see the help file.

Some email-programms addd lines to text files (rec, qes, chk) so the file structure changes. Pack the files (e.g. with Winzip) and attach them to the email, that should work.
