Those interested in centralised collection of epidemiological data using teh Internet should have a look at NetEpi Case Manager. Currently in beta release but Version 1.0, with some additional features, will be available by the end of 2005. Free and open source, although a Linux, Unix or Mac OS X Web server is required centrally (but users need only a Web browser on any operating system). See http://www.netepi.org for more information.
