Dear Jens, Greetings. Thanks for the good and stable Epidata 3.1. During the database management one often updates the previously entered records. For example in the population database of households I can use the house number to search the previously entered records of many members of same household. In Epidata when I use find option using house number only one record is displayed at a time. In EPI 6.04d one could see LIST OF RECORDS with same house number at a time and choose the desired one by moving the highlighter bar over it and pressing Enter key. Procedure -1. Press Ctrl-F key. 2. Enter specific house number in the House number field. 3. Press F3 key. That displays the list of previously entered records with the same house number. Hence specific record could be located for editing purpose.
Epidata does not have that option at present. Please explore the possibity of incorporating similar option in the Epidata also. This option ia really helpful in large population databases.
Once again thanks for this wonderful and stable freeware. Please convey my best wishes to Epidata team.
Sincerely,
