[Epidata-list] help

When I input an data which outof range, an error interface jumps up with a warning sound. I want to listen to the warning sound only and do not want to meet the interface, because I must give it a hit on enter key I want the cursor still stay at the wrong field. Would you mind to teach me how to get that?
