Hello,
New EpiData user here.
I set up a form with some of my variables as Boolean. Entered my data using 0/1 for those variables. My issue is that all of them are now showing as N. Isn’t it N for 0 and Y for 1 ?
Didn’t notice the issue until exporting my data.
Is there anything I can do now about that ?
Thanks.
Which version of EpiData are you using? Which export format are you using? Jamie

I’m using EpiData 4.6.0.6. I exported the data to a .dta file and opened it with SPSS. But it is showing as N even on EpiData itself.

Hi, I don't know about SPSS but if you make it Boolean and export to Stata it behaves as 1/0 where 1 is yes and 0 is no. Regards Brendan

This looks like a bug in Entry. In a quick test, no matter what I entered into a boolean field, “N” was stored. I’ll add a bug report and look into it. Jamie

We’ve identified the bug in one of the core modules. The fix will be applied to the next public release. In the meantime, “Y” will always work as true, but “y” and “1” will be treated as false.
