hi Has anyone figured out how to enter GPS coordinates in Epidata in a form which preserves the structure so that they can be exported to another program for analysis? Thanks in advance for any help, Susie Foster

Are the coordinates longitude and latitude? Would someone actually enter these or are they coming from a GPS file?
You need to treat the coordinates as strings.
You can create these strings if you enter degrees, minutes, seconds as numbers - see the Q&A on the list about creating ID numbers recently. If the coordinates come from a GPS, just keep them as strings.
