Hello list,
I'm new to Epidata, just building my first entry form. Is there a chance to have an automatic value in a field depending on the entered value in another field, i.e:
Field_1 (entered by user): "A" Field_2 (automatically filled with "K", when user has entered "A" in Field_1): "K"
I could not find a possibility to realise this by JUMPS or in the EXTENDED register card.
I saw there were User Defined Functions in former releases of EPIDATA. Is this no longer possible in the new epidatamanager?
Thanks for your attention!
Christian
You can do this by adding value labels to Field1:
label for “A” is “K” etc.
Then, on the Extended tab, choose to copy the label to Field2 Make Field2 NoEnter
Scripting is not yet implemented, but is coming. This will allow much greater flexibility.
