The module is not correctly handling special characters in creating recxml files. Two examples I've found so far.

1. " translates to &qout; rather than " 2. & is not translated to &

sample .qes lines are:

a var # 1 = "some text" b var # Factor A & Factor B

either of these causes failure on reading the recxml
