Top of Page and clarification of histogram contents
Recent questions:
1. In "Epidata Entry", is it possible to create pages like in Epi-Info DOS with a mark for the page changing ?
If you look in the help file under "new page" you will find:
TOPOFSCREEN TopOfScreen in a fieldblock will result in the field being moved to the top of the data entry form when the user enters the field. This command can be used to mimick a change of page. Add a number to the command to indicate the number of lines that should be shown above the data entry field when the field is moved to the top of the screen. Example: TOPOFSCREEN TOPOFSCREEN 2
2. In "Epidata Analysis", for Histogramm, the command "XINC" is not working. You are right. The dialog will allow you to create a command like HISTOGRAM AGE /EDIT /XINC=10 but the option /xinc only works with scatter and line plots.
The idea of a histogram is to give an overview of all data values from minimum to maximum. Whereas a bar graph will only use the values present in the data.
The commands overview (read by pressing F1) should be clarified and the dialogs cleaned for non functional options. Time has not permitted this so far. ................................................................................................................................................................................... A new example of how to move values from one file to another during data entry has been placed on the http://www.epidata.dk/example.php page. Additionaly a flyer presenting EpiData software in general is now found on the main page and the download page. ...................................................................................................................................................................................
