Class of 2029, The maximum number of students permitted to request an absence for the same day has been reached for Wednesday, October 29, 2025 (See Pre-Clerkship Student Attendance Policy<https://entrada.radyfhs.umanitoba.ca/community/ugme:policies?section=view-f…> statement 3.9). There is no further action required for those students who have received approval for requests in Entrada. Some requests received within the last hour have been denied as they exceed the limit for the class - please check the status of/messages attached to your request in Entrada and follow the instructions provided in the comment (also at the bottom of this message) if you are unable to attend. Good morning Med Students, Please see the email below from Student Services @ Bannatyne Campus regarding the upcoming Suicide ASIST Workshops they are offering. Thanks to generous funding, Student Services Bannatyne Campus is excited to offer RFHS learners the opportunity to attend an evidence-based suicide prevention and intervention workshop, free of charge! Suicide ASIST® is an interactive, two-day, in-person workshop. Through attendance, you will learn how to prevent suicide in your community by recognizing signs, providing skilled interventions, and developing safety plans with persons at risk of suicide. Trained facilitators will guide you through the course, answer your questions, and support your learning process. Educational Exposure Program

Hi everyone, I am writing to let you know about the Educational Exposure program, which aims to facilitate student input and collaboration with course leads to revise the current curriculum of various modular and longitudinal courses across M1 and M2. Currently, there are no courses that have specifically reached out to us looking for student input, but if there is a course that you are particularly interested in, or believe certain aspects could use revision, please reach out to the course leader and inquire whether they would be interested in collaborating with you on an educational exposure project for the course. Examples of previous educational exposures involve reviewing course materials to ensure diversity of patient cases, updating lectures to incorporate more visual examples of medical conditions, searching for relevant videos and articles to add to the list of supplementary resources for certain lectures, and reviewing literature to identify gaps in current curriculum. If you are interested or have any other questions regarding the program, please let me know! Once a project is completed, students will receive MSPR recognition for their hard work. I have attached a document that outlines the Educational Exposure program that you can pass on to instructors when inquiring, as well as the document involved in project registration. There are 6 interesting panels, and we would like you will pick one that you would like to join. Please see the event info and the registration link below. Med1 CAREER FAIR Oct 29th, 2025 14:00 – 15:25 Whole Group Session – Theatre A The Never-ending story of Career Development By Paula Hossack & & Jim McLaren Career development is a life-long process and it’s much more than what you do for work. This panel will focus on mothers and fathers in medicine, and how they make their lives work. Opportunity for Participation on Department Head Search Committees

Hey all, I am reaching out with an opportunity to get involved with a department head search committee for the department of Ophthalmology and the department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. One medical student is required for each committee. Search committees would begin in November 2025 and run until Spring 2026 at the latest. The commitment will include attending 3-5 mandatory meetings in a hybrid setting, with the longest of these meetings being 1.5-2 hours in length.
