Reminder re: scents - Rady FHS Attire and Dress Code

Hi Med 1s and 2s, You may or may not be aware that the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences has an Attire and Dress Code Guideline, which can be accessed below. This is a simple, short guideline providing reasonable direction. Part of this guideline relates to scents: 2.4 Scented products should be avoided, recognizing that some individuals have allergies and/or are sensitive to certain chemicals in scented products. Fragrances and other scented hygiene products shall not be used/worn in designated scent free zones. In areas that are not designated scent free zones, fragrances and scented hygiene products shall be used/worn in moderation and shall abide by any directions received in regard to the limitation or use of products with scents and/or fragrances to accommodate those with scent and/or fragrance allergies. In UofM classrooms and shared spaces on campus, please be mindful of those with allergies or sensitivities and try to avoid using scented products. Good morning everyone, As you know, there were many problems at the exam today - ExamSoft was having problems and students couldn't download the exam. Then there were problems uploading the exam. In the end, students were successful at uploading though it took a while. For some students, they had to write their exams on paper. For those students, they will not be able to get a Student Report for this exam as I will have to hand mark them. I will upload your marks to Entrada when I release the marks to the rest of the class. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the class for being so patient and understanding. Important Message from Associate Dean, UGME - BI1 Course Instructor Evaluation

This message is sent on behalf of Dr. Jim Butler, Associate Dean UGME: Dear Class of 2029, Undergraduate Medical Education has undertaken a process to evaluate all components of its program throughout the academic year. The purpose of the instructor evaluation, like the other types of evaluations, is to provide feedback on teaching and learning which will be used to make improvements to the academic program. The instructor evaluation instrument is attached. Your class has been randomly organized into two groups; each group will evaluate a specified number of instructors. In accordance with Program Evaluation Policy & Procedures, all instructors who teach three or more lectures in the Blood and Immunology (BI1) course will be evaluated using the stated instrument. These evaluations are to be completed after the final lecture of each noted instructor. Your class will be evaluating the following instructors: * Dr. Kevin Brown * Dr. Jean-Eric Ghia * Dr. Emily Rimmer * Dr. Karver Zaborniak * Dr. John Gartner After an instructor completes their final lecture in the course, one of the two groups will be distributed a survey via Entrada.
