You are embarking on an exciting journey through medical school. Therefore, in addition to your academic success, we are also interested in supporting you to develop your ability to set effective goals and work towards a successful outcome to your studies. Here is the Careers in Medicine Model that we will be supporting you to implement over the next four years in Med School. [Four-step career process pyramid]
Throughout your four-year program, we will engage you in activities to enhance your career and professional development. There will be periodic tasks that will help you develop many of the essential skills, cognitions, and abilities in relationship to developing into a competent physician. Below is the initial one; we are asking that your writing is not to exceed 200 words in total (you can write your answers in a Word file before you submit them online. In this way, you can keep a copy for yourself.) Please do not spend more than 30 minutes on this assignment and submit it by the end of Monday, August 25th.
