Student Services at Bannatyne Campus (SSBC) is offering a free CBTm Skills Workshop for learners of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and the Inner-City Social Work program.

CBTm Skills Workshop The CBT Skills Workshop for RFHS and ICSW learners is a wellness initiative developed by the Student Mental Health Service and facilitated through Student Services at Bannatyne Campus. This workshop series offers an opportunity to learn skills for managing stress and maintaining self-care utilizing cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness strategies. The goal of the workshop is to build resilience and improve learners' capacity to manage stress in a healthy, adaptive way. This series will be facilitated by psychiatrist, Dr. Tanya Sala (she/her), and Justine Fredette (she/her).
· Dates: Tuesday, February 24, 20226 - Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (six weeks/sessions) · Time: 4:00 - 5:30 pm (90 minutes) · Location: In-person @ Bannatyne Campus
The group is made up of approximately 12 learners from different program areas.
Workshop sessions include learning about cognitive distortions and how to complete thought records, goal-setting, perfectionism (adaptive vs. maladaptive), healthy sleep, healthy living strategies, managing difficult emotions, assertiveness, self-compassion, mindful meditation, and effective communication.
