On Wednesday Feb 25th from 3-5 pm there will be a joint teaching session with the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant programs. (Medical Ethics: Ethics and Inter-Professional Practice) We will look at the codes of ethics for these health professions, and explore some clinical ethical challenges you will face as you work together with different health professionals in the future. Because of the large number of students involved - the session is going to be run concurrently in three different lecture theatres.
All the students have been split up into interprofessional groups - which are posted in Entrada. Please make sure you know which group you are in and where your session is happening. The groups are divided between three theatres - Theatre A (Frederic Gaspard) Theatre C, and Apotex 050
We will ask you to sit with your group as soon as you arrive at the theatre - so please know your group number and look for a sign in the theatre with your group number on it.
The session will start with a short introduction for the whole group, then move in to small group discussions, and then finish up with a large group debrief. The cases for discussion, as well as links to the Code of Ethics for each of these health professions have been posted to ENTRADA. Please review the cases and the Codes of Ethics before the session.
This session requires a great deal of coordination and is dependent on all members of each small group attending. This is a mandatory attendance event. Please be sure to sign in to the attendance sheets at the session.
