Hi everyone,
I'm excited to announce the second round of the Student Initiative Grant (SIG) program for this academic year. The SIG program is an MMSA administered program that aims to fund new and exciting initiatives and projects developed by students. The ideal SIG application pitches an initiative that is creative, has the potential to benefit all four medicine classes, and has goals that are not already met by an existing program/event. The maximum amount that may be requested for a SIG application is $1000. Please see attached the SIG guidelines and application form for more information.
The deadline for applications for this round of SIGs will be Saturday February 28, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST. Within a few weeks of the deadline, applications will be assessed by a SIG committee consisting of myself, the MMSA treasurers, and a few other MMSA council members.
Possible outcomes for a SIG application include receiving full funding, partial funding, or rejection. If you previously applied, were unsuccessful, please consider applying again for this round of SIGs!
