Class of 2029,

We are excited to be welcoming five exchange students and one preceptor from Shantou, China to the Pre‑Clerkship program starting in February. Until now, this exchange has involved Clerkship only; this year, we will have students join our Medicine Year 1 program between February 3 - April 24, 2026.

The exchange students will take part in lectures and labs with your cohort. For tutorials, they will form their own small group while following the curriculum in parallel with the rest of the class.

I hope you will help welcome them starting next week by introducing yourself, helping them find their way on campus, sharing recommendations about Winnipeg, and inviting them to participate in student activities where possible.
