This email is being sent on behalf of Samuel Plato, Music Librarian
Hello MPS instructors!
I am reaching out to ask each of you to recommend a handful of pieces for purchase (3 - 5) that you believe the music library should have available for your students. These could be pieces that are part of the central canon of literature for your instrument, or new pieces of value that you would like your students to have access to.
You can make your recommendations by emailing a list to me at Samuel.plato@umanitoba.camailto:Samuel.plato@umanitoba.ca or by filling out the Recommend a Purchasehttps://apps-lib-umanitoba-ca.uml.idm.oclc.org/forms/uml/recommend/index.php form.
I know the beginning of the semester is busy for everyone, so please don't feel the need to check on whether the library already has a piece or not before recommending it. The aim of this request is to ensure that the music library continues to offer students a robust collection for their performance and study needs, and if we already have the pieces you suggest then we are in a good place and don't necessarily need to add more pieces just for the sake of adding them.
Thank you,
