IMPORTANT Jury Sign Up Information (Classical)

Hello students and MPS teachers,
Jury sign-up sheets by area (Composition, Piano, Strings, Voice, Woodwind/Brass/Percussion) will be available outside the Main Music Office (room T319) Wednesday, March 5th at 9:00am through Friday, March 14th 4:00pm.
Students need to:
* Select and sign up for a timeslot * Arrange for a collaborative pianist to be present at your jury if your repertoire requires it * At your jury, make sure to bring an extra copy of the music for the jurors to view
Who does a jury?
All students in the Bachelor of Music Program: General Concentration, History Concentration, Performance Concentration** and the Music Education concentrations are required to perform a Jury Examination as part of their Major Practical Study courses.
**Students in Performance Concentration are NOT required to perform a Jury Examination for Major Practical Study courses MUSC 3470 and MUSC 4470 if they are registered in a credit recital that year.
Post-Baccalaureate Diploma students are NOT required to perform a Jury Examination for Major Practical Study course MUSC 5400 if they are registered in a credit recital that year.
Jury length:
* MUSC 1400: Normally 15-17 minutes of music * MUSC 2400: Normally 15-17 minutes of music for students NOT auditioning for Performance. 25 minutes of music are required for students who ARE auditioning for Performance * MUSC 3470: Normally 25 minutes of music * MUSC 4470: Normally 25 minutes of music * MUSC 4160: Normally 12-14 minutes of music * MUSC 5400: Normally 25 minutes of music
