Hello everyone,

We have received a request for a speaker from an elementary school teacher at Dalhousie School (please see her email below). She is looking for someone who can speak about the adaptations that occur in the CNS of visually-impaired and hearing-impaired individuals. From our perspective, this could include anything from structural/anatomical differences, to functional neuroimaging, to psychology and behaviour. The date has not been determined, but if you are interested in speaking to these students, please send an email to Kae Normandeau at your earliest convenience: kae.normandeau@umanitoba.ca

Please do not contact the teacher directly at this time, as Kae has to keep track of all speaking engagements that are arranged through the MNN Speakers Bureau.

Hi Kaeleen,

I'm a Grade 4 teacher at Dalhousie School. We are currently working on inquiry projects, and two of my students are exploring brain differences between deaf/hearing people and blind/seeing people. Do you have anyone who might be willing to speak to them? I'm not sure what this would look like.ideally for us, the person would come out to Dalhousie School (near the south campus of the U of M).
