Neuroscience seminar TOMORROW - Fort Garry Campus
/sent on behalf of
Dr. Mark Fry
Dear Colleagues,
We are happy to announce the first seminar in Biological Sciences of the 2022/23 year will be Friday, Sept. 16th at 3pm in Buller 207. This week's speaker is Dr. Ken Lukowiak from the University of Calgary who will be presenting on "The many forms of memory in Lymnaea". Dr. Lukowiak's research focuses on the causal neuronal mechanisms of learning, memory formation and forgetting. They are interested in how stress alters memory formation; especially ecologically relevant stressors such as predator detection and crowding. More information on Dr. Lukowiak's research can be found here https://scholar.google.ca/citations?hl=en&user=LoCUtBsAAAAJ&view_op=list_wo rks&sortby=pubdate. https://scholar.google.ca/citations?hl=en&user=LoCUtBsAAAAJ&view_op=... ks&sortby=pubdate. If you would like to set up a meeting with our guest speaker on Friday, please contact Mark Fry to arrange a time. I hope we will have a strong turn out to our first seminar of the year.
