Hello Nursing Students, This is a reminder that the Nursing Students Association is holding its 11th Annual Orange Shirt Day event today, in the Helen Glass Atrium from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Orange Shirt Day is a chance for us to come together as a community, to listen, learn, and reflect on the ongoing impact of residential schools. We encourage you to stop by the Atrium and take part. Free orange shirts will be available, along with light breakfast and lunch, as we gather in remembrance and support. If you signed up to volunteer, please remember to arrive 15 minutes prior to your sign-up time to check in at the NSA table. Let’s come together as a community to reflect, learn, and continue moving forward in the spirit of healing and reconciliation. Hello Nursing Students, This is a reminder that the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Prairie Regional Conference will be held today and tomorrow, September 25th and 26th. We currently have five remaining spots available, and it is not too late to register. Conference Details * Dates: September 25–26, 2025 * Check-In: Begins at 9:00 a.m. * Start Time: 10:00 a.m. * Location: UMSU Centre, Rooms 543–544 * Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided on both days * Additional Information: Attendees will receive complimentary goodie bags, and there will be door prize draws for ten $25 gift cards. Attendance is offered at no cost to students. While participation will excuse you from classes or clinicals, please note that conference hours do not count toward clinical hours. The walk will take place in honor and remembrance of all residential school children, past and present. We are still in need of more volunteers to help ensure the success of this event. Hello Students, On behalf of the Canadian Nursing Students Association, I am excited to share with everyone that our Prairie Regional Conference is coming up this week, on September 25th and 26th. We are still looking for 10 attendees from the University of Manitoba, and we hope that you can join us! The conference begins each day at 10:00 a.m., with check-in starting at 9:00 a.m. to ensure you can receive your name tag. This conference is offered to you at no cost, and we will be having many amazing guest speakers coming in. We will be providing a full-course lunch, as well as snacks and coffee to those who attend. There will also be goodie bags and door prizes of $25 gift cards for 10 lucky students! While all students who attend will be excused from their classes/clinicals, it is still the responsibility of the student for the content they miss, whether it be skills, class, clinicals(conference hours DO NOT account towards Clinical Hours).
