Nursing Student Lounge Closures

Hello Students, As you may have noticed, our lounges are getting a much needed upgrade and renovation! The main student lounge (Helen Glass 202) is expected to be closed all of next week. While the quiet study lounge (Helen Glass 230) will remain closed until mid next week. Please utilize the basement student lounge and 3rd/4th floor study spaces during this time. A fridge, microwave, and group study room are available on a first-come first-serve basis in the basement lounge. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Locker Sales Winter 2025

Hello Everyone, The Winter 2025 locker sales will be happening on the 8th of January 2025 at 11am prompt on the NSA website and on our Instagram story. The lockers cost 15 dollars and you would have to pay online. For those students who purchased a locker in fall of 2024 please kindly empty your lockers by 16:30 pm today as I will be cutting the locks, and they would be unrefundable. This is consistent with the contract you signed when you initially purchased the lockers. If you would like the same locker then you can repurchase when the sales come online on Wednesday. This is related to their own values and beliefs and those of the group, if they do not align, they do not feel they fit and will seek out new jobs and possibly leave the profession. The ability of nurses to work within their values and beliefs is impacted by the contextual factors of their work environment, social environment, community, government, and legislative organizations, we are embedded within a system that impacts the way in which we think about the profession of nurses and our own identity as a nurse. This presentation will highlight the importance of understanding social identity and social norms of nurses working in groups to develop retention strategies that build nurses sense of belonging to the groups they work in, the organization and the profession. Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I am excited to share information about our upcoming American Sign Language (ASL) classes! Details: • Duration: 20 hours total • Cost: $110 per person • Reimbursement: The Nursing Students’ Association (NSA) will reimburse $100 to the first 50 students who complete the full 20 hours. If you’re interested, please visit the NSA office during our office hours, which you can find on the website linked below (Monday to Thursday). Please make sure to make the payment before November 21. https://umanitobansa.weebly.com/ If you cannot make it to the office during these hours, feel free to message me on Telegram or email me directly before Thursday (contact information below).
