Hello Nursing Students, This is a reminder that the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association Prairie Regional Conference will be held today and tomorrow, September 25th and 26th. We currently have five remaining spots available, and it is not too late to register. Conference Details * Dates: September 25–26, 2025 * Check-In: Begins at 9:00 a.m. * Start Time: 10:00 a.m. * Location: UMSU Centre, Rooms 543–544 * Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided on both days * Additional Information: Attendees will receive complimentary goodie bags, and there will be door prize draws for ten $25 gift cards. Attendance is offered at no cost to students. While participation will excuse you from classes or clinicals, please note that conference hours do not count toward clinical hours. Dear Nursing Students, This is a reminder to join us for the Nursing Students’ Association’s 11th Annual Orange Shirt Day on Friday, September 26, from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM. This event is organized by the NSA Senior Stick and Indigenous Student Representative, with support from the Government of Manitoba’s Orange Shirt Day Grant, UMSU, and the College of Nursing. Orange Shirt Day is an important opportunity to hear from Indigenous leaders and to renew our collective commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. The walk will take place in honor and remembrance of all residential school children, past and present. We are still in need of more volunteers to help ensure the success of this event. 2025CNSA Prairie Conference

Hello Students, On behalf of the Canadian Nursing Students Association, I am excited to share with everyone that our Prairie Regional Conference is coming up this week, on September 25th and 26th. We are still looking for 10 attendees from the University of Manitoba, and we hope that you can join us! The conference begins each day at 10:00 a.m., with check-in starting at 9:00 a.m. to ensure you can receive your name tag. This conference is offered to you at no cost, and we will be having many amazing guest speakers coming in. We will be providing a full-course lunch, as well as snacks and coffee to those who attend. There will also be goodie bags and door prizes of $25 gift cards for 10 lucky students! While all students who attend will be excused from their classes/clinicals, it is still the responsibility of the student for the content they miss, whether it be skills, class, clinicals(conference hours DO NOT account towards Clinical Hours). Each appointment will be for a one-year term, starting September 1, 2025 (or immediately following nomination), and ending August 31, 2026.
