Hello College of Nursing, On behalf of the University of Manitoba Students' Union (UMSU), I would like to extend an invitation to you to be a part of our Annual UMSU Holiday Hamper Program. As you know, students are struggling more than ever with the rising cost of inflation and living. The Holiday Hamper Program helps combat food insecurity by providing grocery gift cards to students facing financial hardship, allowing them to choose the food and essentials they need most. Attached you will find our support letter detailing the Holiday Hampers Program for this year and how you can get involved in this amazing initiative. To keep this program running annually, we rely on the fundraising efforts of our generous student associations, clubs, and corporate and community partners, these funds go towards purchasing gift cards to give the students this holiday season. Hello faculty and staff, We have been meeting with faculty and staff over the past few months to have you inform the specific CON goals as it relates to the new Rady template for strategic planning. Some of this work started in 2024 with the previous Dean. The next step is for a final round of feedback. We now have a more refined template with the actions operationalized and metrics. We will be holding focus groups in the coming weeks. Multiple dates and times will be sent out in an invite. If you'd like to further review and give any final feedback. We encourage you to join one of the focus groups. In 2026, the Rady Deans will align the strategic plans across the six Colleges and next steps will be determined. Many thanks for your contribution. "We Will Take Good Care of the People" Indigenous Cultural Safety Training

Dear Faculty and Staff, Eight seats are available for College of Nursing faculty and staff to complete the "We Will Take Good Care of the People" Indigenous cultural safety training at the end of April (exact date TBD). This flexible program combines online learning with an in-person workshop to support your growth and understanding. Program details: * Course length: 10.5 hours of online learning. * Duration: You will have six months to complete the course at your own pace. * Mode of delivery: Ten online lessons you can take at times that work best for you. * In-person workshop: After finishing the online lessons, you'll be invited to an in-person workshop.
