Dear College of Nursing Faculty and Students,
This year, the annual Helen Glass Research Symposium has been re-envisioned as a dynamic one-day conference designed to bring together nurse researchers, educators, clinicians, policymakers, and undergraduate and graduate students from across Manitoba. The event will showcase the latest nursing and health research taking place across the province. We are pleased to welcome keynote speaker, Dr. Greta Cummings, from the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta. The 2026 theme is “From Insight to Impact: Advancing Nursing’s Future through Research”. The Symposium will take place May 12, 2026, at the Desautels Concert Hall, University of Manitoba (Fort Garry campus).
Call for Abstracts
We invite abstracts representing the full spectrum of nursing and health research, including intervention studies, descriptive/observational and population-based research, qualitative and mixed method, methodological or measurement development, research synthesis, and quality improvement initiatives. Works-in-progress, particularly from graduate students, are welcome. Abstracts for oral, poster, and workshops presentations may be submitted until March 18, 2026, via the Symposium website: https://event.fourwaves.com/hgrs2026/submission. Please review the online submission guidelines prior to submitting your abstract.

Travel Awards
