I want to thank you for making my time special. The last two and a half years has flown by. We have seen an end to covid-19 restrictions, a return to in-person teaching, the Red River continues to slowly lay claim to a number of our Point facilities, and there have been some retirements but more new people. Change is inevitable and we will not stop it. We will continue to adapt to the challenges we face, whether individually or collectively. I would like to thank those that have helped lead the department through the last 2 ½ years, the Acting Associate Heads: Belay Ayele, Rob Gulden, Rob Duncan and Claudio Stasolla. Thank you for your leadership to the Department, you have made the department a better place to work and study. Additionally, I would like to thank all that have served the Department in the Office, you make our jobs better and simpler. I am looking forward to serving as Department Head and we see change on the horizon. New Buildings, new programs(?) and new people! We should always be striving, to the extent of our abilities, to make each other better and be better employers and employees. Our human resources are second to none. We are more formidable when we collaborate and cooperate, and collectively, we can raise Plant Science to new heights. Again I wish to thank you all. Could you please send this to plant all. Hello, This email is about the soil on the floor in walk in fridge. In the picture, all the potato bags are certified seeds free from any kind of contamination. This morning, I found all the soil shoved under the bench instead of cleaning. Could you please pay attention that someone is going to use the plant material and do not know what kind of disease shows up on the plants which can totally ruin the results and even cannot get new seeds as the sowing is already done. Please be considerate to clean any kind of spill especially in the area where people store plant material of all kinds and even use room to carry experiments. I wouldn't mind if its only a small amount of soil, but this is not acceptable at all. The south parking lot will be reserved for CDS attendees during these days. In the event of rain, both classrooms, the seed processing and analysis rooms, and the shop may also be used and if you plan on working in those spaces, please let me know and I can find you an alternative space. Liquid Nitrogen - First Quarter End

Hello All, We ordered a new tank of Liquid Nitrogen two weeks ago and it is half full. As we are getting close to first quarter, we are looking to see if we can have the tank empty this week before June 28th.
