Dear Graduate Students,
As you know, we are currently searching for a term position within the department as a canola/rapeseed breeder. The final two candidates, Drs. Yadeta Kabeta and Muhammad Tahir, will be interviewed next week. On Wednesday, April 25 and Friday, April 27 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in Room 218, Drs. Kabeta and Tahir will be meeting with the graduate students, respectively. Please make an effort to attend this important event. Again, departmental hirings are made at many levels and can significantly affect graduate students. Consequently, your opinions will be important to the hiring process and I would therefore encourage you to attend these meetings with the candidates and email your feedback to me so that I can pass it on to Dr. Ballance. It is also a good opportunity to learn a lot about the interview process and types of questions to expect as well. I hope we can put forward a good turn out !
