PhD Studentship Flax Breeding Program, University of Saskatchewan Studentships available in one of the following areas of flax research: * Disease resistance gene localization * Introgression of germ plasm from wild Linum species The successful candidate will be enrolled in one of Canada's leading plant science departments, with 25 faculty and over 60 MSc and PhD students. The Department of Plant Sciences is well equipped to perform research in molecular genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, biochemical, physiological and field studies. Plant growth facilities include controlled environment growth chambers, greenhouse space and the Kernen Crops Research Farm. Access to other equipment is possible with other research institutes on campus such as Agriculture and AgriFood Canada, National Research Council and the Canadian Light Source. The beautiful University of Saskatchewan campus is located in friendly Saskatoon.
