The University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate and Dene, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of Reconciliation and collaboration.

“Championing Equity, Fostering Access, and Inspiring Participation”
The University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
I reside, work and learn in Canada as a settler by choice, embracing the responsibility to acknowledge and respect the enduring connection of Indigenous Peoples to this land. I am committed to actively recognizing the truth, fostering meaningful dialogue, and supporting initiatives that promote justice and equity for all.
